Riders relaunch the campaign for #6MinuteService
Yesterday, dozens of riders rallied at Barclays Center to officially relaunch our campaign for #6MinuteService with a new report calling on Governor Hochul to invest in running the subways and buses at least every six minutes.
Today's transit service isn't meeting the needs of today's transit riders. Every day, millions of New Yorkers wait for too long at their bus and subway stops, costing them time, money, and frustration. Frontline and service workers, and those who travel early mornings, late nights, and weekends face particularly challenging commutes.
Our new report, 6 Reasons Why New Yorkers Need #6MinuteService, outlines why increased frequency, all day, every day, is necessary to help current commuters today and to build a more sustainable, more equitable city over the long term.
